Young Musician Support – Aims & Objectives

  • We believe that classical music should be accessible for all, whether as a performer or an audience member.

  • YMS aims to enable every school child in North Devon to experience live performances of classical music and to have the opportunity to learn to play an instrument.

Young Musician Support - Objectives

  • We work towards achieving the above goals with an annual programme of concerts and auditions.

  • We raise funds each year to help with the cost of lessons and instruments for a small number of promising young musicians in North Devon.

  • We arrange concerts and other events at local venues offering free tickets for those under 18 years of age and arranging visits by the musicians to local schools.
